Don't expect to see Kylie Jenner handing out Lip Kits on the campaign trail for Caitlyn Jenner's run for California governor. In fact, don't expect to see any of Jenner's children or the Kardashians as they are reportedly not supportive of the whole idea.
As reported by TMZ, Jenner's famous boys, Brody, Brandon and Burt are "embarrassed" by her stepping into politics and want her to throw in the towel before the race begins.
"Our sources say Caitlyn called some of her kids the night before publicly announcing her decision to run, and her sons strongly suggested she pump the brakes and scuttle the whole thing," writes TMZ.
A difference of political leanings might also explain why Kendall, Kylie and the Kardashian trinity Khloe, Kourtney and Kim have been mostly mum about the situation. According to TMZ, there are major clashes in ideas, and the sisters would like to stay out of it as much as they can.
"Caitlyn's politics have been an issue with the family for years," reports TMZ. "She has taken positions on issues like gay marriage – which she initially opposed but now supports – which landed like a lead balloon with the Kardashians.
In one person Caitlyn does have public support is actor and former governor of California, Arnold Schwarzenegger. The action star and fitness icon is friends with Jenner and current Gov. Gavin Newsom. Appearing on "Jimmy Kimmel Live!," Schwarzenegger shared that he believes Jenner and anyone else should run who believes they will make things better for the state.
Watch the exchange below.
"Anyone has a chance because I think the people are dissatisfied with what is going on here in California," Schwarzenegger said. "And I hope as many people as possible are jumping into the race."
He continued: "The key thing about all this is – it doesn't matter if it's Caitlyn or if it's anyone else – to have a clear vision of where you want to go, what are the kind of changes you want to make and why are you qualified to become governor."
Now Californians, will Caitlyn get your vote? Tell us in comments.
