Watch: Nasty Karens Harass Lesbian Couple for Kissing in Front of Children

Two women were kissing at a Sacramento pool last Sunday. That is, until several other women, who have been labeled "Karens" in media reports, harassed the couple.

The confrontation occurred at the Kimpton Sawyer Hotel when Domonique Veasley and her companion were kissing in the pool. They were approached twice by two women who told them to stop because there were children present. The group eventually called security on the couple.

"My initial reaction for the children was, 'Oh yeah,' and then I was like 'You are asking me to stop being me,'" Veasley told the local tv outlet 13 CBS Sacramento. "This is not okay anymore, it's 2021."

Veasley addressed being confronted by one of the women this way: "It would have been a beautiful moment to teach about love to her kids, but instead she decided to sexualize two women."

Some at the pool rallied behind the queer couple and shouted "shame" at the complaining women as they left the pool area, which was captured in a video made by Art Kaligos and posted on Instagram that has since gone viral.

"Pool Karens asked a female couple to stop kissing in front of kids.

"This woman asked a female couple to stop kissing in a public pool because her kids were present. So we gave her the Cersei Lannister treatment while they were escorted out by security. SHAME!!" Kaligos wrote in his post.

The "Cersei Lannister" reference is the infamous Walk of Shame seen on the fifth season of "Games of Thrones."

"Some of the women in the group appear embarrassed as they scurry out of the pool area, and others, like one who gives the camera her finger, appear ready for a verbal confrontation. One of the women stops to argue with the crowd, singling out members by calling them 'fucking loser(s)' and 'fucking asshole(s)' –in front of children," reported the Daily Dot.

"In a statement sent to the Daily Dot, Kaligos' friend Georgy Avakov, who interacted with the women in the video, said that the group was asked by security to apologize to the couple but refused.

"Avakov said that "at least a dozen" straight, non-Black couples were also in the pool area and showing PDA but that the women had no problem with those couples."

Nikki Carlson, the general manager of the Kimpton Sawyer, told the Daily Dot in a statement that the hotel "does not condone discrimination or verbal assault of any kind."

"An unfortunate disagreement between guests occurred at our pool over the holiday weekend and the matter has since been resolved," the statement continued.
