Spate of Anti-LGBTQ Attacks in NYC Continue with Queens Assault

The recent spate of anti-LGBTQ attacks in New York City continued when it was reported an anti-gay assault in Jackson Heights early Tuesday morning, July 6.
"The NYPD's Hate Crimes Task Force is investigating an anti-gay assault in Jackson Heights early Tuesday morning, July 6," reports the website QNS.
In the incident. a 34-year-old man got into a verbal dispute with an unidentified man just after 3 a.m. when he was suddenly slashed in the face with an unknown object causing a laceration on his left cheek, police said.
"The assailant then shouted anti-gay statements at the victim before fleeing on foot in an unknown directions, according to the NYPD. EMS responded to the scene and transported the victim to Elmhurst Hospital Center where he was listed in stable condition," writes QNS.
Seen in surveillance video, the assailant is described as a man of medium build with short lack hair and he was last seen wearing a white collared shirt, black pants, black shoes and he was carrying a black Adidas bag.
The incident is the latest in anti-LGBTQ attacks in the just then days. On June 30 �there was stabbing incident in which a man hurling anti-LGBTQ epithets allegedly scuffled with, then stabbed a man on a midtown Manhattan subway stop, local news source�Pix 11 reported.
On July 3 a doctor was attacked in Greenwich Village in the early morning hours, NBCNew York reported. ""He called me a 'faggot' and then half a block later, he came from behind and kicked and punched me multiple times," the victim, Sina Rezaie, said from his hospital bed.
