"Hurricane Bianca" Del Rio just confirmed what everyone has been wondering since her season 6 win on "RuPaul's Drag Race": What if there was a tie?
Speaking on Joseph Shepherd's podcast, "Exposed; Dragged Out," Del Rio said that a third tie ending was filmed as an option for the show where she and Adore Delano took home the crown, leaving Courtney Act out.
"As people know, it's been said many times, they film all of us winning and that particular episode, that particular night when we were there, they did all of us and then they did one more," Del Rio explained, Pink News reports. "I remember going 'What the f**k?' as soon as they said it was a tie. I was sad."
But not for the reason you think, she said.
"Not because I didn't win, but because Courtney was left standing there. It was quite obvious that she wasn't going to get s**t," said Del Ro, Pink News reports.
Speaking candidly about the season 6 results, Del Rio said she wouldn't have cared to be runner-up. She just wanted only one person to win. After all, she questioned how two queens would split the $100,000 grand prize.
"I would [have been] very happy being a runner-up because I think all three of us had a great opportunity there," Bianca explained. Telling Shepherd, "just pick one of us and let it be."
The official tie in "Drag Race" was between Monet X Change and Trinity the Tuck's controversial "All Stars 4" win.
Thankfully, only one winner was crowned for season 6, and Del Rio used the momentum to launch her career and become a household name. And we wouldn't have it any other way.
