Rapper DaBaby Deletes His Instagram Apology to LGBTQ+ Community

Rapper DaBaby has deleted an Instagram apology he made to the LGBQ+ community earlier this month after losing a number of live gigs due to anti-gay comments he made during a concert last month, Pitchfork reports.
On August 2, DaBaby posted a statement to Instagram apologizing to the LBGTQ+ community, writing in part: "I want to apologize to the LGBTQ+ community for the hurtful and triggering comments I made." That post has since been removed from his Instagram page.
His apology came after being nixed from a number of festivals, including Lollapalooza and the Governors Ball. Several artists spoke out against DaBaby, including Dua Lipa, who collaborated with him on a remix of her song "Levitating," which Billboard points out has gotten a decrease in radio play. Madonna also condemned the rapper but Miley Cyrus offered to reach out to him.
Before making his apology on Instagram, DaBaby tweeted his first apology on July 27.
