Is this the queerest edition of "Dancing with the Stars?"
The cast for Season 30 of the dancing competition show was announced Wednesday morning and includes out Peloton instructor Cody Rigsby as well as out YouTube star Jojo Siwa. She previously made headlines when it was revealed she'll be the first star on the long-running series to have a same-sex partner.
Queer viewers might also be excited to see Spice Girl member Mel C on "DTWS" as well as Melora Hardin, who played the iconic role of Jan Levinson on "The Office." Other celebs competing include "Real Houswives" star Kenya Moore, country singer Jimmie Allen, "Bling Empire" star Christine Chiu, "90210" actor Brian Austin Green, YouTuber and daughter of actress Lori Loughlin Olivia Jade, "The Bachelor" star Matt James, "The Talk" co-host Amanda Kloots, "The Karate Kid" actor Martin Love, Olympic athlete Suni Lee, WWE and "Real World" star Mike "The Miz" Mizanin, and NBA star Iman Shumpert.
Rigsby took to Instagram to react to the news, sharing a photo of himself celebrating in front of lit-up signage that reads "DWTS."
"So excited to be joining the @dancingabc cast Let's go win the mirror ball," he captioned the snap.
Earlier this year, Rigsby spoke with EDGE about his newfound success as a Peloton trainer during lockdown. He also opened up about his background in dance, including his time dancing at gay clubs.
"DTWS" Season 30 begins Sept. 20 on ABC with Tyra Banks returning as host with Len Goodman, Derek Hough, Carrie Ann Inaba, and Bruno Tonioli returning as judges.
