TikTok sensation Corey O'Brien joined EDGE for our final installment of Living Sober, a six-part live conversation series in collaboration with Recovery Unplugged.
O'Brien recently released "Freedom," a short film in collaboration with L.A. CADA, where he used poetry, dance and nature to detail his story with addiction and sobriety. When speaking with Huffpost, O'Brien said, "I wanted to share my story in a way that was authentic to who I was and who I am now. ... Creating art has not only been a passion of mine but it's been extremely therapeutic in my journey with sobriety."
O'Brien shared his perspective on the power of community and how he's harnessed the power of social media to share his message with the world, along with his approach to maintaining a healthy relationship with professional football player Ryan Russell.
Recovery Unplugged's alumni coordinator Zach Elliott joined the conversation to share what makes the drug and alcohol treatment center so successful and welcoming for the LGBTQ+ community, and how alumni maintain a sense of community to stay sober.
