Broadway's 'Dear Evan Hansen' Stars Tie the Knot in Brooklyn

One star of Broadway's "Dear Evan Hansen" has married another star Broadway's "Dear Evan Hansen." That's right: Ben Platt and Noah Galvin have officially tied the knot in a Brooklyn ceremony that was filled with "love, sweaty, and sobbing."
Bringing Vogue along for the occasion, Platt and Galvin wed Sept. 1 at the Pioneer Works in Red Hook. The couple's nuptials however kicked off on Friday night with a Shabbat welcome dinner celebration at the Angel Orensanz Foundation in Manhattan's Lower East Side.
"Since some of Ben's family are observant Jews, we couldn't get married until Sunday when Shabbat was over, so to keep the party going we had a bar hang with some games and Lombardi's Pizza on Saturday night at Cellar Dog in the West Village," Galvin told Vogue.
The special day was officiated by Platt's longtime rabbi, David Wolpe, and there were plenty of the couple's acting friends in attendance, including Beanie Feldstein.
"Our greatest hope was to give everyone a joyful, low-stress weekend full of warmth and a window into our relationship and the life that we are building," Platt said to Vogue. "And we wanted the dancing to go off. We feel that all missions were accomplished!"
Keeping tradition, the ceremony closed with a duet performance by their moms singing a Jewish wedding song.
"And then, we both stepped on glasses," Galvin told the publication. "And they broke, thank God!" Then came the afterparty, which reportedly included "Shake Shack and a Marie's Crisis Café-inspired musical theatre singalong."
"We were overwhelmed with love, sweaty, and sobbing most of the time. We took our coats off halfway through – we were emotionally overheated," said Platt.
And yet they look picture perfect in their wedding photos. See them below.
