"Saltburn" and "Euphoria" heartthrob Jacob Elordi has found another leading role opposite "Barbie" star Margot Robbie.
As reported by Deadline, Elordi has singed on for a movie adaptation of Emily Brontë's romance novel, "Wuthering Heights." It is the legendary writer's only novel, and Emerald Fennell will be in the driver's seat as director.
LuckyChap is on board too, and it will mark the company's third collaboration with Fennell after "Saltburn" and "Promising Young Woman," which were all cultural and critically-acclaimed hits – not to mention, Fennell won the Oscar for original screenplay for the latter.
LuckyChap has also produced "Barbie" and "I, Tonya."
With Fennell serving as the writer, director, and a producer on the film, details have so far been scant. But Brontë's novel, published in 1850, delved into the turbulent relationship between two families, the Earnshaws and the Lintons.
Robbie will star as Catherine Earnshaw, and Elordi will play foster son Heathcliff. Pre-production for the film is set for 2025 in the UK.
