Spring Skiing Rules on Wachusett Mountain

With the creation of Wachusett's new flex ticket pricing this season, "lower" spring ticket rates are in effect through the projected end of the season on April 5.

The new ticket pricing was established this year as part of Wachusett's own 10-part economic stimulus plan. Ticket rates through most of the season were held the same as last year and pricing for the last three weeks was actually lowered from previous years.

For adults, midweek ticket rates are now only $40, weekend rates are only $46. Night rates are down to $35. For all the rates or to purchase tickets online, visit www.wachusett.com.

Spring Events

March and early April are the best time to ski and ride at Wachusett Mountain. The added bonus of Daylight Savings Time with extended daylight until 7p.m. makes the days even longer, while the calendar of events is full of special activities. GREEN DAY Celebration (March 17) - Wachusett has turned its annual St. Patrick's Day Celebration into a day to honor all things green. Skiers and riders can save on lift tickets if they wear Green or if they think Green (anyone carpooling to the mountain - 3 or more per car or driving a Hybrid will earn big discounts on their ticket for the day. Also traditional St. Patrick's celebration with Irish music, Irish food and more. Also Green Shopping Bags from Hannaford Supermarkets and an energy display from Suez Energy.

NORTHEAST MELTDOWN(March 28) - Snowboard & Freeride Competition is the annual big end-of-season slopestyle competition in Wachusett's new Comp Zone with great prizes and a $1000 cash purse.

EARLY EASTER CELEBRATION (March 29) - Celebrate early - Easter Egg hunt for kids; dress as the Easter Bunny or wear an Easter bonnet and save.

LAST DAY POLAR BEACH PARTY AND POND SKIMMING (April 5) - The best is saved for last with a spectacular Pond Skimming Event, prizes, live outdoor music featuring the Chris Fitz Band, and an outdoor barbecue.
