New Hampshire Fall Foliage Photo Contest

Concord, New Hampshire - New Hampshire tourism officials are encouraging residents and visitors to take advantage of the next two weeks of brilliant fall foliage and enter the "Picture Perfect" Foliage Photo Contest. The contest ends October 31, providing plenty of time for people to get creative and showcase the autumn beauty in the state.
Photo winners will be selected in each of the seven tourist regions in the state: Great North Woods, White Mountains, Dartmouth/Lake Sunapee, Lakes, Monadnock, Merrimack Valley, and Seacoast.
"The coming weeks would make for a perfect time to snap some gorgeous photos of foliage, either on the lake, a train trip, or a scenic drive," said Lori Harnois, director of the Division of Travel and Tourism Development (DTTD). "Next week, in the southern regions, many fall and harvest activities will be in full swing."
Participants can upload their photos to the contest website at fall.visitnh.com through October 31. Visit the website for the official rules, to upload pictures, and check out links to explore all the great fall activities in New Hampshire.
Winners will be chosen by a panel of judges based on creativity, quality, and originality of submission. Winners will be selected and announced the first week of November, 2011.
There are different prizes for each region:
Great North Woods - $100 prize package from region
White Mountains - Prize package from AMC, Great Glen Trails & Mt. Washington Auto Road and Mt. Washington Valley Chamber of Commerce
Lakes - Two-night stay at The Highland Lake Inn
Dartmouth-Lake Sunapee - $100 prize package from the region
Monadnock - $100 prize package from the region
Merrimack Valley - Lessons and passes from Vertical Dreams Indoor Rock Climbing
Seacoast - Prize package from NH Theatre Project and Comfort Inn Portsmouth
The foliage tracker is still available online at visitnh.gov/foliage and visitors can view peak leaf peeping days by region.
