Two UK Men Accused of Blackmailing Gay Men on Grindr

Two men from the United Kingdom have been charged with blackmailing gay men via the social media app, Grindr, the British newspaper the Gloucester Citizen reports.
Nathanael Foster, of Wheatstone Road, Gloucester, and Adam Webb, of Kingsway, Quedgeley, both 26, are accused of trying to blackmail gay men for money by using the gay hookup app Grindr. Both men are charged with two counts of blackmail.
The men allegedly pretended to be younger attractive men on the gay dating app and then attempted to get thousands of pounds out of men who contacted them, Gloucester Crown Court heard.
Neither Foster nor Webb has entered a plea in regards to the charges. They were released on bail based on conditions they agreed too, including that they do not use Grindr or speak with each other.
The two men will appear back in court on August 14.
