Judge Judy 'Gags' At Grindr Case

It finally happened - Judge Judith Sheindlin heard a case involving Grindr.

On Monday night's episode of "Judge Judy" Judge Judy presided over a case involving an older gentleman, a college student, "unpaid loans," and the gay hookup app, Grindr, Gawker reports.

The case: The 47-year-old plaintiff sued defendant Aaron Murphy, a 23-year-old college student, for unpaid loans, but Murphy says those loans were a gift.

Naturally, Judge Judy asked Murphy how the two men met.

"Um, we met on a, um...social website," said Murhpy. "Um, it's actually called Grindr...Grindr, it's an app. For your phone or your iPad. It's a social app that tells you where homosexual males are and their proximity. To where you are."

He then said they met in person at an Applebee's and told Judge Judy he was only on Grindr to make friends (haven't we all heard that one before).

But don't worry, Judge Judy was not having any of that.

"Mr. Murphy, so, what you're telling me, sir, is you went on this website in order to find someone who had the same sexual predisposition you did?" she asked.

"Um, no, actually, it was just to make friends," Murphy replied.

"No, then you go on a website to make friends!" she said. "You go with college friends! But you went on a particular website. I mean, if I were looking to just make friends, I wouldn't go on a website that said, you know, it's just for little old Jewish ladies. I would try to expand my horizons a little bit, do you understand?"

Murphy claimed that the plaintiff was "like a mentor" to him but, again, there's no fooling Judge Judy.

"My problem with you Murphy is, at least he probably, according to you...was up front with you. He wanted to be your friend but he wanted more," she told the defendant. "You were just using him. You're the dishonest one. He wasn't being dishonest with you...You're the one using him."

"Your answer said, 'He was like a mentor to me," she said before adding, "Gagging. Gagging at that answer, because it's untruthful."

Amazing.

Judge Judy ended up tossing the case out even though she was so over Murphy. She concluded, however, that the plaintiff probably did give him money and didn't expect him to pay him back.
