Australia's answer to Justin Bieber, singer Cody Simpson, is actually becoming more and more like the original Biebs, as the Daily Mail reports.

The two pop stars, who also share a manager, were spotted at the Young Hollywood Awards in Los Angles Sunday night, where Simpson, 17, is now sporting a Bieber-ish hairstyle. This is how it all begins, Justin so watch out -- next thing you know he's going to be covering "Boyfriend."

"When posing for photos backstage side-by-side the pair's matching style became more noticeable with Cody's blonde and Justin's brunette hair in a fifties-style quiff at the front and shave around the sides," the Daily Mail writes. "The only difference being that their hair was parted and styled to the opposite sides and, because of the way the were standing, leaned in to the centre of the shot."

Bieber, 20, and Simpson have been spending a lot of time together recently. The young men have been working on new music and both posted photos to their Instagram accounts Tuesday, showing them during a recording session.

In the pic, Bieber is wearing a black hat and a Hawaiian shirt and Simpson is seen wearing a stripped bandana and black blazer. Both guys are also jamming out on guitar, along with Bieber's guitarist and musical director Dan Kanter.

The singer went right back to the studio after the Sunday night event.

"Back in the studio finishing something special with my mate @CodySimpson #Myaustralianaccent," Bieber tweeted. "Something special in the studio tonight."

"so stoked for what is to come!!" Simpson wrote.

Simpson appeared on the pop scene just as Bieber was gaining international attention with his smasher "Baby." Simpson's made tiny waves with his single "iYiYi," which features Flo Rida and went to No. 112 in the U.S.
