Women Spin at Pink Noise at Philly's Milky Way
Winnie McCroy READ TIME: 2 MIN.
On Saturday, February 28, Boston women and lovers of electronica will come together for Pink Noise, a monthly dance party at the Milky Way in Jamaica Plain.
This monthly party features women/queer DJs and electronic musicians. And on February 28, they're thrilled to present Philadelphia's Precolumbian and DJ Haram, along with Boston's very own YUNG ZILLA & Sax for a night of unrestricted beats and rhymes.
Precolumbian is known for her queer global bass jawn, Anything For Selenas in Philly, and performed at the Illuminus Festival in Boston last October. DJ Haram recently performed as part of the Discwoman Philly event and just released an amazing mix of Jersey Club/Middle Eastern beats through Browntourage.
YUNG ZILLA spits rhymes on art and heartbreak, while Sax delivers smooth and potent real talk over saucy old school beats. And resident DJ DayGlow holds it down every month with girl rap and party music from the past and future.
Best of all, Pink Noise is free. So brave the snowdrifts and head to The Milky Way Lounge, those of you partiers who are 21+, and enjoy a wild night of music.
Pink Noise will be held from 9 p.m.-1 a.m. on Saturday, February 28 at The Milky Way Lounge, 284 Amory Street, Jamaica Plain, MA 02130
