For WAD, Help Women With a Donation to Iris House

Today is World AIDS Day.
For 25 years, Iris House has been providing a place for women and families to come out of isolation, to fight stigma and to know they're not alone as they seek treatment and support for HIV.
People in our family are among the lucky ones: here in the New York City metropolitan area, services abound, support services exist, and people can find community.
This isn't always the case. There are currently just under 37 million people living with HIV worldwide. More than 35 million have died since the first cases were diagnosed.
In New York City, as of December 2015, there were 87,669 people living with HIV/AIDS, 29% were female, 78% were black/African-American or Latinx.
In New Jersey, as of December 2014, there were 35,682 people living with HIV, with 33% female and 73% black/African-American or Latinx.
The efforts to End the Epidemic are making important strides, but the effort isn't over.
