Watch: YouTubers Joey Graceffa and Daniel Preda Breakup in Video

YouTubers and boyfriends Joey Graceffa and Daniel Preda shared a video Sunday revealing that they are breaking up after six years together.

In the nearly 15-minute clip, the men tell their fans that they actually called it quits three months earlier but continued to live in their home together, Preda said he was moving into another place as they recorded their video, which is called "We Broke Up."

"This has been really, really, hard, and an uncomfortable decision," said Preda, 27, while he and Graceffa, 29, cried.

"It's obviously easier to stay. We're doing what's best for us, and we both know that this is what needs to be done, and what we both need to do to be happy," Graceffa added. "I don't think either of us has been happy for a while."

Preda went on to say that the split isn't because of "what's happening in the world."

"We didn't have any distractions to keep us from what has been building up over the past couple of years. And finally with the time given to us, we were able to look at it closer and make the decision," Graceffa said, later adding that he wants to remain friends with Preda.

"We want to stay in each other's lives and be friends past this," he said. "I think these past three months have shown that we can still maintain a really strong relationship."

"Entertainment Tonight" reports that the men began dating on Valentine's Day 2016 – about a year after Graceffa came out as gay to his fans.

Graceffa, who appeared on "The Amazing Race" in 2013 and 2014, has three YouTube channels where his main channel has 9.38 million subscribers.
