Christian Siriano 2nd Edition Book Offers Fans More to Love

The updated new edition of designer Christian Siriano's "Dresses to Dream About" offers more to love.
"Following the 2008 debut of his eponymous label at New York Fashion Week, Christian Siriano burst into international stardom, becoming a red-carpet favorite and one of today's most popular young fashion designers," the book's synopsis recalls. "Known for the sophisticated structure and exquisite movement of his gowns, Siriano has also gained fans for his vision of inclusiveness in fashion."
Originally published in 2017, the photo book "details the design process behind his gowns," The Cut detailed at the time.
The volume "features original sketches and mood boards (including drawings of ballet costumes), behind-the-scenes stories from Siriano, and stunning shots of completed dresses," The Cut added, going on to cite "a ruby 'Great Gatsby'–era slip dress, light pink tulle, and more ethereal designs" as highlights.
The new hardcover edition, due out Nov. 30 and selling for $44.90, expands on the original, with "fourteen new ensembles," the book's synopsis notes.
The book's contents include "photographs of the designer at work in his Manhattan studio" and offers readers a "behind-the-scenes look of the materials and crafting of his lavish dresses, culminating in images of the finished gowns, presenting an intimate look at the work of one of America's most accomplished young fashion designers," the synopsis adds.
The Cut recalled that as a child, Siriano was inspired to design clothes by the outfits his sister wore for ballet recitals of "The Nutcracker" each holiday season. The new edition's Yuletide timing is in keeping with the originals of the designer's calling to the cloth, but it also makes for an obvious choice for those looking to find a gift that will captivate fashion lover friends and family.
For $120, superfans can also secure a signed copy through the designer's website, with each copy "including a sketch print," which is also signed, the site notes.
Published by Rizzoli, the book weighs in at 271 pages.
