Watch: Cole Connor Updates Recovery After Violent Attack
READ TIME: 3 MIN.
A still visibly bruised Cole Connor went on the Discretion Advised podcast this week to describe the violent attack he experienced last month in West Hollywood and update his condition.
"I got mugged and beat up on Saturday night in Hollywood not far from where I live. My phone has been replaced already, cards and wallet will be replaced," he wrote on Instagram shortly after the attack.
The Sword reported that on the podcast, the adult male star and GayVN winner described the incident: "So, and they just came at me like, 'What the fuck are you doing? Get the fuck away in the car.' And then immediately, like, I was standing there with the open door and they just hit me twice in the head. And I, like, jumped into the car and tried to pull the door shut. They were able to pull [the car door] open and pull me out and throw me on the street and hit me a few more times."
He continued: "I couldn't tell how many people were around me. The first hit made my left eye blurry. I was disoriented and telling them to get the fuck off me. And finally I got to my feet and then there was one guy standing in front of me and I was like 'I'm bigger than this fucking guy.' And I went at him and I hit him a couple of times. Then I was, like, trying to run away and then my legs just kind of...went out. My hamstrings, like, seized up on me."
It turned out that he escaped much more life threatening injuries. "I heard someone from the group say, 'Don't hit him with the bat!' and I turn around and there's someone with a bat over me," he added. "I just turned around and I was just waiting for the hit, but I was trying to crawl away, and then a car came up and three people were in it and they opened the back door and they were like, 'You need help. Get in, get in, get in.' And it was just, like, random people, and I got up, hobbled over to the car as fast as I could, and then jumped in."
"When asked about the motivations behind the attack by podcast host and porn director Marc MacNamara, the Falcon | NakedSword Exclusive said that while he knows very little information about the attackers, he doesn't believe the violent event to be a hate crime and was instead just a random act of violence," The Sword said.
"[I know] nothing. I feel like they just wanted to beat the shit outta someone and I was there," said Connor. "People keep asking me if I think it was a hate crime and I mean, I was in a blank tank top and little black shorts and not really like...They didn't say anything. They didn't call me 'faggot' or anything...Yeah, I don't know."
On Instagram, he posted a pic of himself in his underwear and explained his ongoing recovery. "Tomorrow it will be 2 weeks since my attack. My eye surgery went well! I didn't realize they were going to stitch my eye shut for 8 days, but this is where we are."
"I'm actually feeling pretty good! The bruising is healing on my legs. Hopefully I'll be able to do some stuff at the gym soon. Hoping I'll be camera ready so I can get back to work. I've missed out on two productions because of this and I don't want to miss anymore!"
"I still can't believe how much support and love you all have given me in the last two weeks. I can't thank you enough! I feel very lucky and grateful," Connor said.
