Rapper Who Cut Off Penis is Now Doing Stand Up

The Wu-Tang Clan affiliated rapper who made headlines earlier this year for cutting off his own penis before attempting suicide while allegedly on drugs is shifting his career goals and is now doing stand up.
TMZ reports that Andre Johnson, aka Christ Bearer, is poking fun at himself, making jokes about chopping off his Johnson in April, and did some stand up in North Hollywood last week.
Johnson told his jokes at the Ha Ha Caf Comedy Club and TMZ reports it is his second time doing stand up after he reportedly studied up on doing stand up by going to various clubs.
TMZ says Johnson "loves" doing stand up and telling jokes about cutting off his penis makes him feel better about the whole situation.
"One time I heard voices," he told a quiet audience during his set. "The voices told me, 'Cut your dick off.' I said, 'What?!' 'You heard me, cut your dick off."
Though there was very little laughter, he continued: "So I did."
"Folks, I don't care how high you get, once you chop off your penis, you're still broke," Johnson said. "So, I just jumped out the window. Fuck it."
He then says he woke up wanting the authorities to find his missing penis.
"You can't be black, broke and no dick! That's like being white with bad credit, right?"
There was only nervous chuckling.
The musician opened up about the strange incident in July, saying he was under the influence of drugs when he decided to chop off his penis and jump off the second-floor balcony of his North Hollywood home. But he says he was aware of what he was doing.
"Yes, I was using drugs that night, but I was in complete control," he said. "I cut it off because that was the root of all my problems. My solution to the problem was the realization that sex is for mortals, and I am a god. Those kinds of activities got me into trouble, and I came here to be a god."
It's unclear if his member has been reattached - he said doctors were not able to fix his penis, but he told TMZ in May that he was doing well and doctors did in fact put his penis back and that it was fully functional.
He also said the incident was sparked because he was upset he was unable to see his two daughters that morning because of a restraining order. He also told TMZ he was smoking pot and reading a book about monks and vasectomies the night of the attempted suicide.
"I didn't want to kill myself," Johnson said. "That was just my response to the demons. They were doing their best to get to me, but being alive solidified my thoughts. I'm alive, penis or no penis."
Johnson is best known for being in the rap group, Northstar, which is connected with the iconic rap group Wu-Tang Clan, who produced Northstar's albums.
