'Christian' Duggars Shun Unwed Mother -- And She's a Relative
EDGE READ TIME: 2 MIN.
This should make LGBT Duggars fans feel better about watching "19 Kids and Counting." Apparently they treat some straight people like garbage too.
Jim-Bob and Michelle Duggar of the hit TLC reality series "19 Kids and Counting," allegedly forbid their daughter Jill, a practicing midwife, from assisting with the birth of an unwed mother. Hold on, it gets worse. The mother in question is a relative.
According toRadar Online, a source close to the Duggar Family said that in 2012, Susanna Keller, the unwed younger sister to Anna Duggar, was pregnant with her first child and wanted Jill to assist with the delivery.
"Jill was very excited to assist Susanna through the birth," Radar Online's source revealed. "Michelle and Jim Bob, however, wouldn't let her participate. They thought Jill shouldn't be exposed to an unmarried mother in that condition."
Anna Duggar is married to the mega-family's eldest son Josh, who is executive director of the Southern Poverty Law Center designated anti-gay hate group Family Research Council.
According to The Hollywood Gossip, when Keller, who previously appeared on "19 Kids and Counting" gave birth out of wedlock in 2013 and decided not to marry the father of the baby, she was "frozen out" of making any future appearances on the reality show.
"It would be bad for the Duggar brand." A source told The Hollywood Gossip. "She broke away from everything his family represents, so viewers shouldn't expect any televised trips to visit this in-law."
The Duggars are part of the Quiverfull movement, a fringe sect of Christianity that encourages women to have as many children as their bodies will allow.
