Women Whip Out Their Tits -- For Feminism!?

In an unbridled expression of exhibitionism not seen since my ex and I took a mid-'90s trek to Canada, where women are free to go topless (weather permitting, presumably), lovely ladies from Iceland to the Interwebs are airing their ta-tas, in the name of feminism.

Distractify reports that the "Free the Nipple" movement is currently sweeping the Twitter, with women taking nip slip pix and posting them online in feminist solidarity.

The trend began after an Icelandic high school girl was mocked over an online photo that showed her nipple. Since then, women across the world have been posting photos of their own breasts with messages against sexualizing the female body.

Twitter user Violet Rose wrote, "It is illegal for women to go topless in most cities, yet you can buy a magazine of a woman without her top on at any 7-11 store. So you can sell breasts, but you cannot wear breasts, in America."

Bj�rt �lafsd�ttir, a member of Icelandic parliament, posted her own photo to support the movement, with the quip, "This is for feeding babies. Shove that up your patriarchy. #FreeTheNipple"

Feminist Betty Dodson even posted a particularly provocative double-nip slip, writing, "We'll be in Iceland this Fall for a keynote and workshop so it's fitting that the #freethenipple campaign has hit their shores. A 17-year-old girl kicked it off by protesting this nipple double standard and thousands of women have posted their nip pics in protest. This is one of my favorites."
